About Patrick

For those whom I haven't had the pleasure of meeting, I'm Patrick Bingham. Currently, I’m a sophomore at Auburn University pursuing a double major in Marketing and Journalism-Sports Production. I was born in Smyrna, Georgia and lived there until my family and I moved to Auburn, Alabama in the spring of 2012. I’ve been in the “loveliest village” ever since, graduating from Auburn High School in the spring of 2022 and moving across the street to Auburn University in the fall of 2022. 

 

In high school, I was instrumental in developing the live sports production aspect of the school’s TV production program. I served as the president of the program’s student-run organization “Hi-Def” my junior and senior year in addition to my internship with the school’s athletic director. 

 

I also was employed by Auburn United Methodist Church in high school within their media/tech department primarily helping in the overall production of services each Sunday and at various events during the week. I mostly mixed front of house audio and at times would mix for the broadcast as well as occasionally video directing for the service live stream. 

 

Quickly into my freshman year at Auburn University, I was hired by War Eagle Productions in September of 2022 to be a student employee in their live-production department. I have primarily operated ESPN Xpression graphics in the roles of the main Xpression Operator and Xpression Scorebug Operator in over 40+ total broadcasts, and 14 linear shows which airs on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU or SEC Network, to date. In addition, I have operated wireless and box-lens cameras for various Auburn Athletic video board productions. 

 

In November of 2022, I joined the sports section of the Auburn Plainsman — an award-winning news publication created and run entirely by students at Auburn University. During my time as a sports writer for the organization, I’ve had the opportunity to cover a variety of Auburn Athletic programs in the form of covering press conferences, writing previews of upcoming contests and in-game reporting across the country. To date, I’ve had 40+ stories published. 

 

From May to August 2023, I served as part of the marketing and video team for JH Ranch's summer crew, capturing and editing weekly videos to showcase guests' experiences. My summer at JH Ranch gave me the chance to dive deeper into my understanding of creative video work and Adobe Premiere Pro. I currently create short video content for JH Ranch’s social media platforms to promote the upcoming summer.

 

After a summer serving out at the ranch, I was offered the opportunity in August of 2023 to steward the marketing and overall branding of JH Adventure’s first Outback University weekend event. I assisted the leadership team by creating branded materials for outreach events, constructing a weekly update email newsletters to donors and board members, producing content for our social platforms and leading the creative team during the weekend event. 

 

In late April of 2023, I joined the production serve team at Auburn Community Church. I currently operate cameras and video direct for weekly Sunday services and special events throughout the week. 

 

Since the fall of 2017, I’ve created Auburn Athletics focused content on my personal entity titled the Patrick Party. Over the years, I’ve created quick pick ‘em videos with my opinion on the upcoming game. During the 2023 football season, I wrote game preview stories, recorded a weekly podcast, produced an hour long live pregame show and sent all this content out to my followers on a branded weekly email newsletter. 

 

With my diverse skills in production, marketing, and journalism, I believe I can offer a unique contribution to you and/or your entity. I look forward to connecting with you in the future!
